Enter our World Book Day 2026 competition with Green Bean Books!

To celebrate World Book Day 2026, we're working with Green Bean books to run a boroughwide creative challenge competition.

You can enter in one of the two following ways:

Option 1

Build a Reading Den for Green Bean.

Use an empty box and other recyclable items to make a cosy den for Green Bean to read in - ask an adult to send a photo of your den to library.transformation@wigan.gov.uk.

Option 2

Draw a comic strip featuring Green Bean.

Download and print our comic strip template, or collect one from your local library, then draw a story of Green Bean and friends enjoying reading. Hand your completed entry in to library staff.

Don't forget to write your name and a contact telephone number on the back!

The Prize

One winner from each entry option will be chosen to win a £20 National Book Token.

Closing date

The closing date for entries is World Book Day itself - Thursday 5th March. Good Luck!
